the air you are now sending to the exhaust and bypassing the intake is counted by the MAF. The ECU is expecting that air to be returned into the intake system in order to maintain proper A/F ratio. I can see this working well on a vehicle using a MAP sensor. since they system only cares about the current pressure in the intake, not the quantity of air entering. Would be interesting to get some data from your WBO2 and see if you are running a little richer than before. The ECU might be able to compensate but not sure on its accuracy. -Jason
